Space
An astronaut is a person who travels to space and looks at other planets. It’s a very difficult job, and they train for a long time. Astronauts wear a special outfit called a spacesuit. It’s heavy and includes a helmet. A space trip takes a very long time, sometimes many years. Yuri Gagarin, a Russian astronaut, was the first person to travel to space. Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the Moon. There are eight planets in our Solar System. Our planet is called Earth. There’s air and water on the Earth, so people, animals and plants can live on it. Astronauts live in a spaceship when they travel in space. They can cook, sleep and rest in space. They eat frozen vegetables and desserts, refrigerated food, fruit and dairy products.
