The expression gives reference to a feeling of panic, or stress, which can be crippling and forces that person to stop whatever they are doing in order to relax and calm themselves down. 'Stress' means pressure or tension. Stress has become one of the leading causes of health issues in modern life.
Stress has the habit of severely affecting people's emotions with quite negative results. Anxiety is often the result of those suffering from stress. One common outcome is panic attacks. Fatigue is also a good indicator of severe stress
For instance, a stressed-out parent might raise their voice at a child for spilling their drink on the table. Stress has the habit of making people angry, moody, or nervous. When left unchecked, long-term stress can induce a large assortment of mental health issues. Depression, which is an intense feeling of sadness and hopelessness, is often the result of stress.
Eating disorders, such as anorexia, have also been linked to stress; additionally, they are often made worse by stress. If stress is allowed to continue, then one's mental health is put at risk.
It affects the emotions. Untreated, it may eventually result in mental illness. Therefore, it is imperative that we reduce the amount of stress in our lives: just put the world on pause and relax for a while.
