Story of the Three Frogs

Once upon a time, there were three frogs. They were always together and happy. They jumped around all day every day. One day they all fell into a well. The well was deep – very deep. The frogs started to jump. They wanted to get out of the well. Suddenly, two birds came and sat near the well. They looked down at the three frogs. They said, ‘The well is very deep. You can’t get out of this well. Stop trying!’ Then, the birds flew away.

Two of the three frogs felt sad, and slowly they felt weaker and weaker. They didn’t jump higher, and finally they stopped trying. But the third frog didn’t stop! It jumped again and again. Every time it jumped higher and higher. Finally he jumped so high that he was out of the well. Do you know why he didn’t stop jumping? Because he was deaf and didn’t hear the birds.
