Street Art!
Mural painting has always been appealing to people’s eyes. It is quite different from all the other forms of art and is originally connected with architecture. The use of colours and designs are very important because they can change the sensation and the effects of these murals. It is truly three-dimensional, and it really modifies the given space into something amazing. The history of mural goes back to Romans, but people have been leaving signs of their own existence in many places around the world since the early times. Romans used mural painting to an extraordinary extent. In Ostia and Pompeii the walls of almost all the public and private buildings were painted in decorative schemes such as landscapes, still-life and figured scenes. However, Renaissance period was the time mural art reached its peak in history. It received a higher degree of creative concentration by artist and patron. The greatest artists of the era attempted to create an illusionistic feeling for space. As well as being related to architecture, mural also has a second characteristics called broad public significance. Many different techniques have been used throughout mural history such as encaustic painting, tempera painting, fresco painting, ceramics, oil painting on canvas, and, more recently, liquid silicate and fired porcelain enamel. Today, murals still represent a mighty tool of emancipation, freedom of expression and social activism and propaganda. With urban art becoming more popular day by day, most of the big brands cooperate with mural artists to create their sale campaigns and designs. Many famous streets of the world are all covered with murals, and graffiti artists successfully paint their murals everywhere, showing incredible skills and talent which formed their own highly distinctive artistic styles.
