SUCCESS STARTS WITH FAILURE

SUCCESS STARTS WITH FAILURE

Everybody encounters failure at one point or another. What truly matters is how you react to it and what you learn from that failure.

Not everyone who’s on top today got there with success after success. They were faced with numerous obstacles, but they didn’t give up and forced themselves to work harder and show more determination. Their stories end in massive success, but all of them are rooted in failure.

For instance, Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper, because “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn’t last very long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. However, nothing stopped him and eventually he found the key to success.

Thomas Edison was told by his teacher that he was “too stupid to learn anything.” He was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive enough. Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. However, his persistence resulted in a design that worked. Now, he is remembered as one of the inventors that changed the face of the modern world.

Stephen King received 30 rejections for his first book Carrie but these days he is one of the best-selling authors of all time.

Ludwig van Beethoven’s teachers told him that he was hopeless at music and would never succeed with the violin or in composing. However, this didn’t stop him and he composed some of the best-loved symphonies of all time.

Michael Jordan, one of the best basketball players of all time was actually cut from his high school basketball team. Luckily, Jordan didn’t let this setback stop him from playing the game. He once said “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

So, whenever you feel down about your failures, keep these examples in mind and remind yourself that sometimes failure is just the first step towards success.
