Talking Movies

Interviewer : Good morning and welcome to Jack Simpson and his teacher Mrs Bliss. Today we are going to talk about films. Jack, what kind of films do you prefer to watch at the cinema?

Jack : Well Fiona, I guess if I am paying to see a film I prefer to watch a a) ........ fast-moving action movie or a science fiction film. The special effects are always so gripping, and the story lines are full of hundreds of twists and turns.

Mrs Bliss : I can really understand why you enjoy this kind of film Jack, because when I was younger I felt the same too. Now that I am a bit older and have a busier life I want to relax when I go to the cinema. So, I think I prefer to watch a good drama or comedy type film. I want to escape from my every day issues and get lost in other people’s mess!!

Interviewer : That’s very interesting, what are your favourite all time films?

Mrs Bliss : Recently, I have really loved the Mamma Mia movies. In fact, I just saw ‘The Sequel’ this summer and sat at the cinema crying and laughing at various times while watching the movie.

Jack : I think the Star Wars movies are b) ........ incredible and as well as watching them at the cinema, I also stream them at home so I have watched the whole series, from start to finish.
