Most teenagers today can’t seem to imagine life without modern technology. They use it mainly for communication. The way teens communicate today is completely different from the way teenagers communicated ten to twenty years ago. Decades ago, a teenager’s time was not consumed with updating their Facebook status or texting their friends every two minutes on WhatsApp or posting a photo on Snap Chat. These are just some of the things that weren’t possible. Today, many teenagers can’t even imagine life without those social media tools. Nowadays, teenagers are always busy with new technology and they rarely spend time talking on the phone. Recent studies have shown that about fifty percent of teenagers own a cell phone, but many only spend about twenty minutes per day actually talking on it. It is true that technology has transformed us. However, students should get out of the house more and spend their free time outside without their electronic devices.
