Phillip: I’m feeling a bit down. There’s so much pressure at school. Do you have any advice?
A: Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your teachers if you’re struggling. Your friends can give you support, too. Setting yourself easily achievable goals each day will boost your confidence. It is important to keep healthy mentally and physically, so get some exercise or do some sports.
Ben: I’ve been spending many hours on my laptop lately, and now I’ve got a terrible pain in my arm and back. Should I see a doctor?
A: You should take regular breaks, and you must see a doctor. You shouldn’t spend too long sitting in front of a screen. It can damage your eyes and give you a backache. Why don’t you get professional advice?
David: I’d like to be more environmentally friendly. Is there anything I can do?
A: There are lots of fun, simple things you can do to ‘go green’. Why not participate in a local park clean up? Plant more trees—it’s the best thing you can ever do. Donate old clothes to charity, reuse plastic bags or recycle. Cycling is a lot healthier than taking the bus and it’s environmentally friendly. So get on your bike!
Jane: I’m new in town. I don’t have many friends and I feel lonely and bored at times. How can I make friends at school?
A: The friends you make at school can be friends for life. It’s essential to make efforts to meet new people. You might want to join a social club or do some volunteering. This can make your life more satisfying
