Teens and entertainment

For the first time, parents watch more TV than teens. It doesn’t mean that teens never waste their time. There are some reasons why teens don’t watch much TV.

Today, we have lots of kinds of entertainment. Teens spend a lot of time on social networks, YouTube, video games and mobile games, but parents usually come home from work and watch TV.

Schools usually give teens a lot of homework to do. Teens try hard to finish their school projects, so they don’t usually have time to watch TV. When they have some free time, their favourite programmes aren’t on TV.

Today’s teens often don’t play in parks or streets; instead, they go to after-school classes. They haven’t got a lot of energy to watch TV. Parents send teens to swimming, music, dance and maths classes because they think their children can learn more things and have better jobs in the future.
