The Animal Hospital
Acorn School students are visiting an animal hospital in Africa. The hospital is in a very big garden. There are many tall trees. The animals here are not in cages. They can walk and rest on the green grass and under the trees.
‘The animals in this park need help’ their teacher says. ‘That’s why they’re here.’
There are two giraffes standing under the trees. The young one is eating some leaves. The old one is drinking some water. Veterinarians are standing next to them and looking at their legs. ‘What’s the matter with the giraffe?’ a student asks. ‘It has got a broken leg’ says the teacher. Two hippos are swimming in a pool. They are very muddy but they like it. The zebras are eating some grass. The students are taking photographs of the zebras. A big grey rhino is sleeping in the sun next to the rocks. The teacher is giving the students some paper and pencils. Some students are drawing pictures of the animals in their notebooks. The teacher is giving some information about the animals.
