The Best Day of My Life

The Best Day of My Life

Amanda: I was waiting for my exam results so I was a bit nervous. I was sitting in a café when my mum called me. She opened the letter from the university and started crying. She told me I was top of my class and she was so proud of me. So I was sitting in the café crying too, but it was the best day of my life.

John: I was a little bit scared of heights. A few years ago I was on holiday in Thailand, and there was a bungee jump set up on a bridge over a river. All my friends did it and it looked like fun so I decided to give it a try. While I was waiting in the queue, I thought about running away a couple of times, but I didn’t. I’m glad I didn’t run away because it was the best day I ever had.

Peter: The best day of my life was when I bought my first car. I was saving money for almost two years because I wanted to buy a Ford Mustang. I did lots of small jobs and saved every penny that I could. Then, one day while my mum was driving me past a car lot, I saw it—my red and black beauty! I fell in love with the car and bought it that day.

Lucy: When I was a child, I wanted to be a vet because I loved animals so much. One day, my Dad brought home this adorable little puppy. I was playing in my bedroom when he came home. I ran downstairs when I heard the puppy barking. It was this tiny little thing with big eyes. We instantly became best friends and still play together every day.
