THE BIOGRAPHY OF SALVADOR DALI

Dali was a famous Spanish artist. Some of his famous works are ''The Persistence of Memory", "Christ of Saint John of the Cross" and "The Ghost of Vermeer''.

He was born in 1904 and died in 1989. His father was a lawyer, he was a very strict man but his mother was a very kind person and she always encouraged him for his love of art. He began drawing and painting when he was young. As a child, he loved playing football and he also liked daydreaming during lesson times and once he got in trouble because of this.

He married his wife Gala and they moved to the United States in 1940. During that time, he drew some pictures about war. He didn't like war so he drew pictures that showed his fear of war. After the pictures about war, he started to draw pictures about religion. He also wrote his autobiography. The name of the book is ''The Secret Life of Salvador Dali''. In his book there are some real stories but some of them are made up stories. His favourite scientist was Albert Einstein and he also worked with director Alfred Hitchcock on a movie. He lived a life that was full of art.
