THE BIRTHDAY CAKE DISASTER

Dear Aunt Denise,

Help! Tomorrow is my birthday party and I don’t have a birthday cake! My mom baked one for me last night and left it on the kitchen counter, but our dog Rusty found it and ate it! My mom is working late tonight and forgot her phone at home. I considered buying a cake, but they are too expensive. Now I have to make the cake all by myself! I wish you didn’t live so far away! Can you help me with the cake? I know you enjoy baking things, and you are really good at it. I want a vanilla cake with white frosting. I want to make a design with cinnamon on the top, too. But I don’t know which ingredients I need or how to put them together. Do you recommend using olive oil instead of butter? If you tell me what things to buy, I will gather them together and do my best. Please e-mail me soon!
