The common illnesses
The common cold
Lots of teenagers catch a cold three or four times a year. When you catch a cold, you have a sore throat at first, and then you have a runny nose and a cough. Some people might have headaches, or their body might hurt a little. It’s easy for you to catch a cold when you don’t eat well. If you don’t eat well, your body won’t be strong. Remember this: Always keep your hands clean and stand away from people who have a cold.
Influenza
Influenza, or the flu, is a different illness to the common cold. When you have the flu, you have a temperature and bad headaches. If you feel tired and have a sore throat but you don’t cough, then you may have the flu. If you have the flu, seeing a doctor is the best thing to do. If you don’t want to catch the flu, always eat a balanced diet. If you’re fat, you can catch the flu more easily.
