The Concert

Lily is very nervous. She has an important concert tonight. She is playing the piano at the school’s spring party. Her cousin Anna is getting ready too. She is singing in the choir.
Her mum, dad, grandma and grandpa are waiting for the concert. The room is very crowded. There are many parents and children that want to listen to music.
Lily’s mum asks “Who’s that sitting next to Lily?” Lilly’s dad says “It’s the new student Evan from Spain. He is playing the violin tonight. They’re classmates.”
Anna’s mum says “Anna looks very nervous, I hope she’ll be okay tonight.’’ Lily’s mum says “Don’t worry. She’s all right. She has a beautiful voice and she can sing all the songs very well.” Lily and Anna are wearing blue dresses and shiny white shoes. All the boys in the choir are wearing black trousers and grey
shirts.
Everybody is quiet now. The concert is starting. Lilly starts to play her piece and Anna sings beautifully. Everyone cheers and claps.
