THE DIAMOND ROBBERY

THE DIAMOND ROBBERY

Good morning and welcome to the morning news. Here are the main headlines this morning. Storm Caroline continues to cause disruption to travel and has caused damage to homes along the east coast of England. There has been a robbery at the Diamond Gallery in London. The police are still investigating. We will bring you the latest news from the scene of the crime as it comes in.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look at what we know happened last night at the Diamond Gallery, world-famous for its amazing diamond collection. Several witnesses have reported different accounts of what happened.

The doorman at the building next to the gallery said he had heard a loud noise, and he had woken up to see what was going on. He said he saw two men, who were wearing black masks, jumping into a red car and driving away as fast as they could. He added that they had looked very professional.

An elderly woman living in a flat in the building next to the gallery said she had been woken up by a bright light coming through her bedroom window. She had thought that aliens were invading her house because the light had been so bright. The next thing she had seen were two ninjas getting into a blue car and driving away. She said she couldn't be sure about the colour of the car because she couldn't find her glasses in all the excitement.

The police have examined the video from the CCTV cameras. Police Officer Tom Thornton said there had been a robbery at the gallery at about three o’clock in the morning. The thieves had used a smoke bomb and bright lights to pass the guards at the door. They had then blown up the main safe and had taken diamonds worth an estimated 2 million pounds. They had driven away in a red car but police were able to find the license plate number from the CCTV footage, so it was just a matter of time before they were caught.
