The GOOD and the BAD

The GOOD and the BAD

Leonardo da Vinci faced with a great difficulty when he decided to draw his painting, The Last Supper, which was one of his best jobs. He had to illustrate the good and the bad in the picture. He began to look for two people who would be the models of the two protagonists. One day, he recognized someone who might match with the good one while a choir was giving a concert. He invited him to his studio to pose for him. He drew lots of sketches. After three years, The Last Supper was almost over but Leonardo still couldn’t find someone who might be the model of the bad. The master of the sanctuary, where Leonardo had been working, began to force him to finish the painting soon. He looked for someone who could match with the bad for a long time and he found an early aged man. He was drunk and crashed out. He asked his men to bring the tramp to the studio because he had no time to draw a sketch. The man didn’t understand anything when Leonardo’s men brought him. Leonardo was drawing the disbelief, the sin, the selfishness and the faithlessness. When he finished drawing, the man opened his eyes and looked at the picture. “I’ve seen this picture before,” said the confused man. “When?” asked Leonardo. “Three years ago,” said the man. “Before I lost everything I had.” “I was singing in a choir and I had too many dreams until an artist wanted me to pose for him as a model of the good.” The face of the good and the bad is identical. Everything depends on what the life submits you.
