THE JAR

Lily was a very hardworking little girl. She had two elder brothers. She decided to collect money because she wanted to travel the world and taste food from different countries. She put every penny she got in a jar. She hid the jar from her brothers because she didn’t want them to take her money and spend it. When the jar was full, she took it to the bank. Once a month, a lady came to clean the house. Lily took her jar and hid it in her bag. Because Lily didn’t want her to see the jar. But one day Lily forgot that it was a cleaning day. The lady took it from under the bed and put it on one of the shelves in the room. Lily came to the room and was shocked!“Where’s the jar!” she cried. She went to her mother and her mother said, “Check it in your room again.”. She went to her room again but it wasn’t there. Where was the jar? “My brothers have got it!” she thought. She went in their room and looked everywhere. But it wasn’t there. Her brothers came back and she shouted at them . “You stole it! I know! ”Then her mum came into the room with the jar in her hands. Lily was shocked. Her mum said, “it was on the shelf”. Lily felt very sorry for blaming her brothers.
