The Legend of Lucky Leonard

Leonard Cooper, born in 1960, is the luckiest man on earth. You cannot believe how many accidents and disasters he escaped. It all started when he was in 1st grade. One day, he was sick and couldn’t go to school, and the whole school burned down and 27 people died. 2 years later, he was supposed to go to Paris with his family for holidays, they missed the flight and it crashed. Later when he was 12, their house got hit by lightning when Leonard was at the grocery store. Apart from these big accidents, he survived little ones now and again. He had 2 car accidents when he was 29 and 32. He didn’t even have a nose bleed when 4 others died. Once, he fell from the 4th floor at the age of 42 and only sprained his ankle. His biggest luck came while he was enjoying his holiday in India in 1984. A tsunami hit the beaches, killing thousands of people. His hotel was the only building that didn’t get destroyed.

Now, Leonard is 55 years old. Last week, he went to the doctor for his flu and the doctors found cancer. They say that he is so lucky because they discovered it so early and it can easily be cured. People who know Leonard think that he is protected by gods. Some even believe that he is immortal. Leonard says that he is just lucky because he always wears his lucky socks.
