THE MAN WHO GOES TO THREE COUNTRIES EVERY DAY!
Perez Oliveira was born in Paraguay; he grew up in Argentina and now he lives in Brazil. He says he loves travelling around the three different countries equally and he works in all three of them every day. The only thing he cannot stand is people who have no excitement about seeing new places. Can you imagine working in three different countries every day in your life? That’s the situation for Perez.
Perez is a keen tour guide in Foz de Iguacu, a Brazilian town. He is interested in travelling and nature. He takes tourists around the Iguacu Falls. It’s close to the borders of both Argentina and Paraguay. It’s one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. Perez says the falls are amazing, especially in the rainy season. He sees them every day and he never gets tired of them.
The name "Iguazu" comes from the Tupi words meaning "water," and "big." According to a legend, a deity planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí but she ran away with a man in a canoe. The deity got so angry that he sliced the river, and created the waterfalls. In the end, the lovers fell off of the waterfall.
Perez shows tourists the waterfall from the Brazilian side and tells them the story about it. Then, they cross the border to see the water from the Argentinian side. After that, they go on a boat trip which takes them under the waterfall and they chill out there for a while. Finally, he takes them on the short journey to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay to do some tax-free shopping from the local shops.
