The New Library
Nancy: Hi, Jack. How’s it going?
Jack: Fine. Thanks. I’m studying for my exams.
Nancy: Cool! But why are you studying here?
Jack: What’s the problem with this place?
Nancy: Well, the university library is small and there’s often noise outside. Don’t you want to study somewhere quieter?
Jack: Well, yeah.
Nancy: Then, there’s a new library in the park.
Jack: In the park? Which Park?
Nancy: I’m surprised you don’t know the park. I bet you don’t know our city very well.
Jack: No, I’m pretty new here, and I don’t get around much.
Nancy: Well, the park is right behind our university. The library building was a museum before. Then, the museum moved to the other side of the river.
Jack: Interesting! I didn’t know that.
Nancy: Which places do you know around this neighbourhood?
Jack: Well, I know very few places, like the Town Hall. It’s across from our university. I know my neighbourhood well, though. It’s on the other side of the river. There’s a cathedral next to the museum there. Nancy, maybe I can learn more about this neighbourhood by taking walks around it.
Nancy: We can do it together.
Jack: Sure. Why not?
