The New Town

Host: Hi Amy! Welcome to our show. Everyone, Amy and her family are the new members of our little town, and I’m happy to have her here.

Amy: Hi Jack. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Host: (1) ......................

Amy: Well, I think it’s because life in the city is very hard. The city is busy and noisy, and my family doesn’t like living there.

Host: (2) ......................

Amy: Well, it’s closer to the sea than the city. My parents are retired now, so they want to spend their time at the quiet beaches here.

Host: What about you and your school? (3) ......................

Amy: Yes, I am. We come from a poor neighbourhood, and the school in this town is better than my old school in the city. I haven’t got my friends here, but I know I can make new friends soon.

Host: Oh, that’s what I want to ask. (4) ......................

Amy: They’re nicer than people in the city. Our new neighbours are very good people. I think they like us.

Host: Is it easy to find what you need here?

Amy: Well, you can find everything in the city, but we don’t need a lot of things. Also, life is cheaper here, so I am happy with shopping here in town.
