The Princess and the Stepmother

There was a beautiful princess. She was nice, clever and gentle. Her stepmother was horrible to her, but the princess was always very kind to her. The stepmother had everything, but she always wanted more and more. The princess wondered, “Why is she so greedy and mean?”

People in the country loved the princess because she was helpful and generous. She liked sharing everything she had; her clothes, her food, and her money. This caused some problems in the castle, but the king never heard about it. The king wanted peace in his castle and in his country.
