The Projects of the Eco Club

I am a grade 8 student and I have been a member of eco club for 3 years. In this club, we do so many things about saving the environment. For example, last year we organized a school trip to the forest close to our school and we collected all the rubbish there. Other than that, we recorded a video and prepared a PowerPoint presentation to inform people about what they can do to help the environment. This year, we are working on recycling. So far, we have put the bins to recycle paper and plastic in our school and at the conference hall we informed all the students about how to use these recycling bins.

All the teachers and the principal loved the idea about these bins. They thanked us and said that they would be more careful about this issue too. Now, I see many teachers are warning and reminding the students to use the recycling bins more and more. Furthermore, we collected the leftovers from the canteen and gave them to the street dogs. We informed the students about this too. After that, many students started to bring leftovers from home too. Many people volunteered to take the food to the street dogs and finally we made a chart about it. Everybody knew his or her day to take the food to the street dogs. This project was very successful too. Our message was “The environment is not a house just for us, but for all the living things”.
