The Recycling Competition

The Recycling Competition

Ann: What are you reading, Sam?

Sam: Well, it’s an advertisement for a recycling company.

Ann: What does it say?

Sam: It says there’s a recycling competition with big prizes.

Ann: What kind of competition?

Sam: Let me see. Hmm ... it says here that if we recycle our rubbish in their bins, we may win environmentally-friendly prizes likea Tesla car – you know the famous electric car brand.

Ann: Right! That’s interesting.

Sam: Uh-oh! Looks like we need to do some homework too! We must make a list of the items we throw away and then upload the information to their website. Then at the end of every three months, they are going to look at our ‘green’ lifestyle and give us a point! People with the most points win!

Ann: Are they going to give away one prize?

Sam: Let me see. No, there are many. The electric car is just one of them. There are energy-efficient fridges, kitchen utensils made of recycled material and many more.

Ann: That’s great! I’ll start sorting the rubbish and writing the list. What’s their website?
