THE TREE HOUSE

Danny and Maggie started building the tree house just for fun. They wanted something to keep them busy in their free time. First they thought it might be a good place for their guests to stay. They looked at many tree house models online and spent hours designing the tree house. They worked for three years on their tree house. They got wood from the forest near their house. They did all the work themselves. The more they worked on the tree house, the more they liked it. Then they had another idea. They decided to move to that tree house and live there. They thought it might be a different experience for them. They built their tree house ten metres from the ground. It has two storeys. On the ground floor there is a main room where they watch TV and spend time together. There is also a small kitchen and a bathroom. Above that, there are two bedrooms; one for them and one for their guests. They also built a big deck . On the deck there is a very comfortable rocking chair for Maggie and a barbeque for Danny. The tree house has electricity and water. They say at first it felt a little strange for them but now they can’t think of living in a normal house. They love everything about living in a tree house. They usually have strange guests in the mornings like squirrels, birds, and different types of bugs. They like listening to the rain on the roof, watching trees in the wind and the smell of trees and leaves. They usually have their meals on the deck. Maggie says she likes sleeping on the deck when the weather is nice. She says that there is nothing like sleeping under the stars.
