Things To Try

Things To Try

Hi, my name is Olga and I’m 17 years old. I come from a remote part of Russia.
I came to England six months ago as an exchange student. Now I know that I haven’t tried a lot of things in my life yet.
It’s true that living in a small town and working alongside my family has made me an
independent person,
but I’ve remained unaware of all the things people could try before they’re 20.

I’ve already made my choice about my university and future career,
and I know that I won’t have enough time to do any of the things I want to do now.
That’s why, with the help of my friend Tricia, I’ve made a list of those things.
It’s a long list, but I’ll share the important ones with you.

First, I want to go on holiday in another country on my own. I’ve already done that here in England,
but I’m sure that travelling to another country is a different experience.
Second, I want to go to a gig – not a small music performance, but a big one.
My favourite band Korn is coming to London next week, so I think it’s time.
Another thing on the list is learning Esperanto.
It’s a man-made language, and hundreds of thousands of people around the world use it as a second language.
The list is long, but I’ll follow my priorities first. I hope I can do most of them.
