Things You Use Every Day

How many times do you stop and think about the things you use every day? Someone invented it, and it improved your life. Strangely, many inventors discovered the best inventions by mistake and accidents. Take a look at all these amazing inventions, for example.
1. Penicillin A Scottish biologist by the name of Alexander Fleming went on holiday in 1928. When he returned, he noticed that the bacteria that he grew died. It was because of a fungus that grew and killed off the bacteria. That fungus was penicillin. It was a life-changing discovery.
2. The microwave Percy Spencer was an engineer at a company. In 1945 he noticed that a chocolate bar in his pocket melted after he walked by a magnetron. The magnetron was a big magnetic machine. Later, he invented the first microwave oven.
3. Teflon A scientist named Roy Plunkelt worked for a company on a project to make refrigerators safer. In 1938 he noticed that one of the samples was not making a place sticky. Now, we can all make food without using oil to keep it from being sticky.
4. Cornflakes Keith Kellog was a doctor and helped his patients with their diets too. He accidentally left some bread out, and the next day he decided to bake it anyway. The year was 1896, and he discovered that he had made cornflakes. It was a big hit and breakfast was forever changed. 5. Superglue Dr Henry Coover was a chemist. In 1945 he created a substance and thought it was a failure because it stuck to everything it touched. However, this ended up being a great thing.
