Tom: Letter

Hi Roman,

Thank you for your email. I’m having fun in Rome, but my weekend wasn’t so good. I went to the island of Sicily. It’s got beautiful beaches and very friendly people. I arrived at 11am, but an hour later it started raining. There weren’t any umbrellas or small lemonade stands at the beach, so my clothes got wet. 

I went to the hotel and changed my clothes. The rain stopped after 5 hours, so I went out for a walk around the island. I sat on the beach to watch the sea, but a bird came, took my phone and flew away. I was so upset because of my bad luck. Now, I didn’t have a camera with me to take photos of the island. 

With no GPS, it wasn’t easy to find my way back to the hotel. On the way back, it started raining again. I walked under the evening rain for 20 minutes to get to the hotel. It was cold at night, so I stayed inside and watched films. It rained the next morning too, so I left the island and went back to Rome. How was your weekend?
