TOM'S DAY

Hi. I’m Tom. People call me Uncle Tom. I’ve got a farm in the countryside. I’m a farmer. There are cows, horses, ducks, sheep and goats on my farm. I’ve got a dog, too. His name is Bobo. He’s white and brown. He’s got long brown ears and a short tail.

My days are usually the same. I wake up early every day. I have breakfast first and then I start working. First, I milk the cows and sheep. Then, I feed the ducks and horses. I work in the field. When it’s lunch time, my wife calls me and I go home to eat. After lunch, I clean the places where my animals live in. When it’s evening time, I have dinner with my family, watch TV and read the newspaper. I go to bed early because I wake up early.

Today is a different day. I’m not milking the cows or feeding the ducks. I’m decorating the house because it’s a special day. It’s my son’s birthday. We want to have a surprise party for him. My wife is cooking his favourite food in the kitchen. Our dog is wearing a hat and party glasses to surprise my son, Tim. It’s 3 o’clock. His school is over. I think he’s on his way back home. We are all waiting for him.
