TRAVEL GUIDE
Isle of Skye, Scotland
Skye is a beautiful island, and lots of people visit in the summer because it is often too cold for visitors in winter. The best means of transport are buses. They can take you all over the island. Lots of families use bikes here, too. The roads aren’t too busy, so it is really safe for children. When you leave the island, you can drive across the Skye Bridge or you can use the ferry. The ferry is quick and cheap for everyone.
Venice, Italy
In Venice, there are buses and taxis just like any other city, but they travel on water instead of roads! The water bus is called the Vaporetto, and it works just like an ordinary bus. You can get a 24-hour or a three-day ticket. Some visitors like riding in gondolas, but they’re too expensive for others.
San Francisco, USA
In San Francisco, getting around is really easy – there are all kinds of forms of transport. The oldest and the best are the cable cars. Some of them are modern, but others are just like the old ones. You can use special tickets for all modes of transport for 90 minutes, and they’re very cheap. Most people think that walking in the city is too difficult because there are so many hills, so a lot of people ride bikes.
