Miguel has been a regular writer on our travel page. He’s always had positive experiences, but things are a little different this time.

Miguel: ‘Last month I finally persuaded my father to join me in my adventures. We planned to go to Vietnam this time and teach Spanish in one of the high schools. Last Friday, when we wanted to check in at the airport, my dad realised that his passport wasn’t in his bag. The airport was a long from home, so I asked him to wait until I get him another ticket. I’ve already arrived in Hanoi, and I’m busy with paperwork. When I’m finished with it, I’m going to get his tickets and everything. He’ll probably be with me next week because Friday’s flights are likely to be fully booked. We’re starting work two weeks later, so he’ll definitely have enough time to adjust. I’m going to write to you again next week. Until then!’
