Travelling to Moscow, Russia
Travelling to Moscow, Russia, can have its good and bad sides, but you can enjoy all the good sides with these three important tips.
(1) ……………
This period is the cold season. If you’re not travelling for business, just stay away from Moscow in these months because the weather is very cold. Last winter, I was in Moscow on a business trip. The air quality was so bad. My Russian friend says it is because people use their cars more during winter. I remember the air smelt like petrol at particular times of the day.
(2) ……………
I can’t accept the cold and unfriendly look that some waiters or shopkeepers give me. I went to the Arbat neighbourhood to buy some souvenirs, and I found the shopkeepers there very friendly. But in almost all the other places, I wasn’t so happy with the service. I was sometimes very angry at impolite waiters or shopkeepers.
(3) ……………
Go online to websites like Airbnb and find places to stay at because they’re much cheaper. I stayed at a hotel and I can say that I didn’t receive the good service I expected. Last month, my friend travelled to Moscow and stayed in someone’s home. He says everything was clean, the atmosphere was friendly, and it was a great way to find friends that he could call for help on his next trips.
