Turn It Off

Mrs Sanders: Good morning children! Today, I have an interesting project for you as homework. You will spend one full day without using any electronic devices. You can’t use cell phones, computers, tablets, music players or TV.

Mona: No way! That is impossible.

Harry: Please, give us another homework Mrs. Sanders, this is too difficult.

Lee: I can’t stay away from my cell phone. Can I use it for 5 minutes?

Mrs Sanders: It will be a good experience for you. You can find other fun things to do.

Emma: My mom is going to be very happy about this homework. She always tells me to stop playing video games.

Mona: It’s only for one day, we can do it.

Lee: Yeah, it can’t be too hard.

(The next day)

Mrs Sanders: Hello kids! Did you do your homework?

Harry: It was the longest day of my life, Mrs Sanders. I got so bored and went to bed early.

Mona: I think it was great. I realized that I waste so much time on the phone. Instead, I spent time with my family and played outside with my friends. I will do it more often.

Emma: I agree. I did some painting, I played the guitar. Can we do it again?

Lee: I loved it, too. I was addicted to technology. Now, I want to spend more time outdoors.

Mrs Sanders: That’s great news, children. I’m so proud of you!
