Is there a TV in your living room? What about your bedroom, your parents’ bedroom or even the kitchen? If your answer is yes, don’t worry. You are not alone. A recent study shows that the number of televisions is more than the number of people living in that house in many houses nowadays.

According to the research company, half of American homes have three or more TVs. They are in different rooms of houses so that people can continue watching wherever they are in their house. Maeve Chris and her husband have four

TVs in their home. Actually they have five but the one is the kitchen is broken now. Maeve says that she and her husband like to have TV everywhere possible in the house. They watch TV in the living room if they are resting or in their bedroom before they sleep. “We have our phones and tablets too but it is better to watch films or shows on TV screen. I don’t like watching things on smaller screens. Nothing can replace the TV,” say Mark Chris. Another family has four TVs, and there are four people in their home. In their home, there is a television in the parents’ room and one in each of the children’s bedrooms. There are also TVs in the family room. “People say that there shouldn’t be a TV in children’s bedrooms but I don’t agree with them,” says mum. “Sometimes we all want to watch different things and it is better to have a TV in your bedroom than fighting over what to watch.”

The research company also found out that people watch TV for more hours now than they did in the last decade. The average person watches more than four hours of television every day. In an average home, a television set is turned on almost all the day. Most people turn on the TV when they enter their house. Sometimes they don’t event watch it. They say they they don’t feel lonely if the TV is turned on. In general, TV shows and series have become a major form of entertainment for many families. Families who want to have quality time nowadays say “What shall we watch together?” instead of “What shall we do together?”
