Uniforms

It is said that having a school uniform can:
reduce the expense of a change of daily clothing.

reduce visible wealth differences.

lower discipline issues.

create a school identity.

When a school chooses their uniform, they should:
think about currently manufactured items to reduce the cost.

select multiple items to give a wide choice, preferably in school colours.

think about darker colours or plaids because they don’t show dirt as easily.

choose unisex clothes so they can be passed on within families or worn by either males or females.

be made of strong materials with pockets and patches.

have versatile styles, for example, long /short sleeves, shorts, skirts, long trousers for individuality.

be practical, comfortable and modest.

consider all events in a school calendar – formal/informal events, sports classes and branch lessons.

Also, don’t forget the small items such as bags, belts, ties, aprons, hair accessories and shoes.
