Unusual Houses

Would you like to live in an unusual house? Normally people live in apartment buildings or villas, but some people like to be different.

TRANSPARENT HOUSE: This house is not like other houses. It is different because it is transparent. It means everyone can see what is happening inside. You cannot hide anything in a house like this. Every year people go to Tokyo, Japan to stay in this interesting house. It is not very big and there are no walls in the house. They just have stairs and large glass windows. It helps the sunlight come inside the house. It is very modern but it can have some problems as well. When you talk loudly, people outside can hear you and they can talk to you. People think it is like a modern version of a treehouse and they like staying in there. There aren’t any doors. Everything is open.

NAUTILUS HOUSE: This wonderful house is in the shape of a shell. It is in Mexico. A married couple is living there now. They designed the house very modern and unusual. There are many different colours in the house. The house has got two floors and spiral stairs. Inside there is a living room, a large bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. The bathroom is blue and yellow with small windows. It’s very bright. In the living room, there is a real green grass carpet. You can see and feel the nature inside this house. Outside there is a nice garden with trees. It is peaceful and quiet. It can be a perfect place to live in.
