Venice

Venice

Hi, my name is Lorenzo, and I’m from Venice, Italy. It’s a famous city because it’s on water,
and people don’t use cars. Instead, we
use gondolas to travel through canals. I’m a photographer,
so I
take lots of pictures of my city. Here are two of them.

1. In this picture, I’m standing in front of Saint Mark’s Basilica. It’s a cathedral, and it’s about 930 years old!
There are a lot of
tourists in this picture. Some tourists are walking, and some are taking pictures of the building.
There are other walking things
here too—birds!

2. I love this picture. In this picture, there are a group of tourists and a gondolier.
They are going through a
narrow canal. There are some other people in the picture too.
They are on another gondola coming in the
opposite direction and enjoying the beauty of the neighbourhood.
