VINTAGE IS THE LATEST FASHION!
The term ‘vintage’ describes clothing between 20 and 100 years old. People are now buying vintage clothing more than ever; so vintage style clothes are so popular. Let’s see who’s wearing what vintage style clothes!
Drew: I love having vintage items in my wardrobe. My favourite decades are the 80s and 90s. I love vintage t-shirts, bomber jackets and leggings. Chiara Ferragni is also a huge fan of vintage t-shirts and leggings, and so are Kendall, Gigi, Bella, Lady Gaga and many other celebrities. My favourite material is cotton. I find it better than anything synthetic.
Julia: Today I am wearing flare jeans and platforms from the 70s for my daily outfit. I think vintage is especially a great choice for a special event. I don’t want to look like everyone else. I can wear a 1960s little black dress to a wedding. And I’m sure I won’t see anyone else wearing the same thing. You can look really original and cool in vintage clothes.
Zoey: Have a look at my cashmere cardigan from the 1950s! Isn’t it lovely? I wear vintage nearly all the time. I usually buy accessories, belts, caps, gloves and scarves from vintage boutiques. And I make some changes on my clothes; I shorten skirts, change buttons or add a collar. My favourite materials are silk and wool.
Matt: I buy vintage leather jackets. They have better quality than the clothes of today because they fall apart after only a few wears. Vintage clothing can be expensive, but you can find plenty of bargains. You can also find original pieces in your grandparents’ attic or parents’ wardrobes… For free, YAY!
Victoria: I love vintage sunglasses. Cat eye glasses are a classic vintage style, but I prefer round-shaped frames. The small and round lenses of the late ‘60s - the John Lennon style sunglasses - are still very popular, for example. I also prefer oversized sunglasses for a glamorous look.
