Water Pollution

Water Pollution

Pollution occurs when the environment becomes dirty because of rubbish, chemicals or other things. There are three main types of pollution. These are air, water and land. Today, we will talk about water pollution.

Water pollution causes problems for animals and people. What are the causes of water pollution? There are many different causes. The first cause is waste from factories. Factories have lots of rubbish and dirty water. This gets washed into the sea or ocean, making the water become very dirty. Dirty water kills animals and makes people ill. The second cause is created by people. Some people throw their waste or rubbish into the sea, river and ocean so the water becomes polluted. The third cause is oil spills from tankers. Big tankers transport oil across the sea. When they have an accident, all the oil spills into the sea. Animals die immediately and people get ill because of this water.

There are solutions for these problems. The solution for the first problem is that factories shouldn’t throw their waste into the sea or ocean. They have to find another place. The solution for the second problem is that police catch these people so they will never do these things again. Finally, for the third problem captains must transport oil very carefully.
