This is Adriana. She lives close to Lake Arsenal in Costa Rica. Lake Arsenal is large and 60 metres deep. It’s very close to the Arenal Volcano. The water is turquoise and the weather is hot. It’s a very beautiful place. Adriana likes to go windsurfing on the weekends. She is very good at it! She feels like she can fly on her board. The winds can blow up to 53 kph, so she can go very fast. She wears a wetsuit to keep warm. Adriana also uses gloves, boots and a helmet for safety.
This is Miguel. He lives close to Tarifa, a small town in Spain. Tarifa is next to the Strait of Gibraltar. It’s very windy, so many people go kite surfing there. Miguel likes to go in the summer with his sister. She is a beginner, so Miguel helps her. The beaches have people from all over the world. The water is very clean and the beaches are beautiful, but crowded. Sometimes there is no wind, so Miguel goes swimming or skateboarding around town.
