We learnt a lot today!

Hi, my name is Julie. I’m Tom’s best friend at school. We both like sea animals, so we usually go to the aquarium in our city to learn new things about them. Last week they opened new parts of the aquarium, and it is now bigger than before. We were there to learn more about the new creatures.

We first saw seagulls. They’re not the biggest birds in the world, but they’re bigger than lots of birds. Their wings are long, and they fly fast. They like to eat fish.

Inside the aquarium we saw different kinds of jellyfish. There was the biggest jellyfish in the world. It’s called the lion’s mane jellyfish. Its bell is as big as a human, and its tentacles are about 30 metres long!
