Weekend Holiday

It’s the weekend. Frank and Diana are staying in a bungalow with their parents. The bungalow is in the woods next to a big mountain. It’s autumn, and there are yellow leaves on the ground. Frank is wearing warm trousers and boots. He is wearing two t-shirts and a warm jumper over the top. He doesn’t have a coat because it’s not that cold. Diana is wearing long socks and a long dress. She is a little cold. Outside the bungalow, there’s a place to cook. Mum is cooking some fish and potatoes for lunch. Dad is collecting some wood to make a fire at night. Frank is sitting on a bench and reading his book about birds. ‘Do you hear that bird, Diana? Do you know the name of it?’ he asks. ‘I don’t know’ says Diana. ‘But it’s singing a beautiful song. I like it’ she says. Diana is picking some flowers. She puts them in the pocket of her dress. She wants to give the flowers to her mum.
