What a Surprise!

Andy and her husband, David, went to London on 9th May to spend the Saturday. It was Andy’s birthday and David had a surprise for her. David organized a surprise birthday dinner at The Ledbury, in London. Most of their friends live in London, so David wanted to meet them there. They left the house at 8 in the morning, and drove to London. They arrived in London at around 9 and had a nice breakfast at Wolseley, one of the best breakfast places in London. Two days before that, David ordered a special necklace from a jewelry store in London. The shop was only 100 meters away from the breakfast place. So, when Andy was in the toilet, David ran to the shop and bought the necklace. He was back in the café before Andy.

In the afternoon, Andy wanted to go shopping and they went to Regent Street. David thought it was a bad idea because Regent Street has all the designer shops! David had to buy a nice and expensive jacket for Andy. She said she accepted it as her birthday present. After a while, they got tired and they decided to rest in a café. “It was different years ago,” Andy said, “when my family and I lived here.” David felt sorry for her. Andy lost her parents in a tragic traffic accident four years ago. She thought nature could help her get over the trauma. So, she moved to the countryside, and the nature there helped her.

In the evening, they met Andy’s friends at The Ledbury. Andy was very surprised and happy to see her friends at the restaurant. It was an enjoyable dinner and the second surprise was the necklace that David bought for her.
