What an Awful Experience!
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to complain about my experience in one of your stores over the weekend. On Saturday 12th July 2016, I was shopping at Scranners Express in Moselypoole when I was approached by one of your colleagues. This young man was around 20 years old. He was tall with blond hair and a strong Moselypoole accent. Instead of saying “Excuse me ma’am”, he tapped me on the shoulder very aggressively. I was absolutely shocked; I could not believe that someone could be so rude! I turned around to face him and he looked completely unapologetic. He told me that I could not be in the shop without any shoes on. I calmly explained to the young man that bare feet are natural and not at all dangerous. I should tell you that my feet do not smell and I don’t ask other people to remove their shoes in my presence. Still, the employee asked me to leave the store or put on a pair of shoes. I left angrily and without the things I went to the shop to buy.
I’m sure you are wondering how this young man was hired in the first place. Personally, I have no idea. I hope you can find out. It is obviously ridiculous that a human being, born without shoes, should be expected to wear them at all times. If you kept your floors clean and tidy in the store, my bare feet would cause no problem.
I would like you, in the HR department at Scranners HQ, to find this young man and speak to him about this terrible customer service. I would also like to request some compensation from Scranners for the humiliation of having to leave the store without my shopping. I am happy to accept gift vouchers and coupons. Alternatively, you could deliver shopping to my home, free of charge. This would also ensure that I do not offend any of your employees. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and I hope to hear from you in the immediate future.
Kind Regards,
Wendaline Wibble
