What do Students Think about Space Vacations?
Mr. Redd read a text about “Space Vacations” in his lesson. He asked the students, “Do you believe all these things will happen in the near future?”. Samantha said, “I believe people will travel around our galaxy and whole universe in spacecrafts. We will be passengers in these spacecrafts.” Terry said, “I believe we will build houses on other planets. These houses will be round like igloos. These are the houses Inuit people live in to keep warm.” Mr. Redd said, “Well, a very different point, Terry. What about you Sam? What do you think about this topic?” Sam said, “I think it sounds exciting, but also scary. The text says passengers will float around the spacecraft because there is no gravity. Does it mean people will fly inside the spacecraft?” Mr. Redd said, “Yes, Sam, I’m sure you will like flying! Still, don’t worry. When you wear your seatbelt, there is no problem.” Terry said, “Cool! It’s really exciting! I will be one of the people to buy the first ticket!” The whole class laughed.
