Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving. It is the busiest shopping day of the year. Many stores offer great discounts for that day just to attract customers to their stores. Although shops open their doors very early in the morning, people stand in lines hours before the doors are opened.

Black Friday is a great time to get good deals but not everyone can get what they want. Some items can be really very cheap like televisions or computers. There is a high demand for electronic items. Shops want to make people buy more expensive things when they are in the store.

Police call this day Black Friday because of the heavy traffic it causes. In the past, shop owners tried to change the name as "Big Friday”, but it didn’t work. Now people all over the country take part in the event known as Black Friday. It is even spreading to other parts of the world such as the U.K., Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Turkey.

People love shopping and it is also really good for the sellers too. That’s why Black Friday Sales have started before Friday, with some stores starting their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day. Some shops even start selling on Wednesday and Monday. Most Black Friday Sales also take place online too. So, this one day shopping event nowadays have become as the whole week shopping activity.
