WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT VEGANISM?
Veganism is a way of living. It aims to exclude, as much as possible, all forms of cruelty towards animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.
There are many ways to perform vegan living, but one thing all vegans have in common is a plant-based diet avoiding all animal foods such as meat (including fish, shellfish and insects), dairy, eggs and honey. They also refrain from materials that include animal parts, or from products tested on animals. Vegans also do not go to places that use animals for entertainment.
So, what do vegans eat?
They do eat A LOT – once you enter the world of vegans, you find a whole new world of exciting foods and flavours opening up to you. A vegan diet is incredibly rich and diverse and consists of all kinds of fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, seeds, beans and pulses - all of which can be prepared in an incredibly huge number of different ways. This variety makes sure you are never bored or undernourished. From curry to cake, pastries to pizzas, all your favourite things can be suitable for a vegan diet if they're made with plant-based ingredients.
