What the Future Holds

Paragraph #1: According to the famous tech company Samsung’s research, life will be much easier in 100 years from now. They asked experts on space, architecture and city planning what they think life will be like in 2116. They described much taller skyscrapers, underwater cities and space holidays. Our lifestyles, offices and concept of entertainment will be completely different from today’s. They said that people failed to realize 25 years ago how big changes would occur in our lives after we started using the internet and smartphones. They could not imagine a world with terms like “online shopping”, “selfie”, “direct message”, “cyber bullying” and many more are used as part of everyday language. The internet has dramatically changed the way we communicate, learn, think, act and do daily things. The experts said the changes in the next century would be even more unbelievable

Paragraph #2: Researchers questioned 2,000 people about how they think life will be different from today in 100 years from now. They predict that most of the people will work from home and have virtual meetings with their co-workers. They will no more go to their offices – most will not even have an office. Most of the schoolwork will be done from home via virtual communication tools. You will be able to print your own sofa using the design you have downloaded from the Internet and the 3D printer you have at home – surprise, everyone will have one in the future! You will even be able to download a recipe and print your pizza. You will not need to visit your doctor, because there will be a health capsule at your home. It will tell you what the problem is and treat you. You will also be able to book a space holiday when you feel tired of your difficult (!) life on Earth.
