What Will Life Be Like in The Year 2050 ?

In 2050, futurologists predict that everything, from entertainment to technology, will most likely be very different in lots of ways.

1. .............. It seems that TV channels will disappear before the year 2050. Instead, people will choose a programme from a 'menu' and a computer will send the programme directly to the television. By 2050, 'Holographic Feedback TV' will arrive: holograms are pictures that have height, width and depth. We will be able to smell, see, and even touch the things we see on television.

2. ............... This will become one of our most serious problems. In many places, farming is changing. Most farmers grow fruit and vegetables to export and this uses too much water. There will be serious water shortages in the future as demand for water is predicted to increase by ten times between now and 2050. Water shortages could even be the cause of war in the future if we don't act now.

3. ............... They will run on new, clean fuels and they will go very fast. Cars will have computers to control the speed of the car, and there won't be any accidents. By 2050, the computer will drive the car to your destination. By 2050, space planes will fly all over the world and people will fly from Los Angeles to Tokyo in just two hours.

4. ............... Future technology will cure many diseases. At the moment, we have electronic devices we can connect directly to the brain to deaf help people hear. We may be able to help deaf and blind people see and hear again by 2050. We now know how to control genes and clone animals.
